SPDIF can carry stereo (2 channels) of audio.
It's not straightforward to convert between SPDIF and a stereo pair of RCA plugs. SPDIF is a digital standard (SPDIF is an acronym for Sony Philips Digital Interface) and a pair of RCA plugs is analogue. It is possible to buy adaptors that convert from one to the other; if you search for SPDIF to analogue (or analog) convertor with google, you'll find a selection.
OK. Allready solved the problem. As spdif cable is an optical, so laser goest thru that, it's really impossible to connect it with just some jack...
Multichannel or multipoint distribution service.
if a signal is a function of single independent variable, then signal is called multichannel signal. if a signal is function of multiple independent variable then signal is called multidimensional signal.
It stands for Sony Phillips Digital Interface. It was developed by Sony and Phillips
The TV is a MONO TV and you need a STEREO TV with audio output jacks to get the surround system to work. PS, what is a spdif?
Yes if the frequences and amps are the same amount
Yes you can, but technically it's not legal in some countries.
A SPDIF interface is a connection that is found on a variety of electronic audio devices, from computer sound cards, minidisk players, home theatre surround amplifiers and many more. SPDIF is short for Sony Phillips Digital InterFace and it is used to transmit audio digitally from one device to another. The digital audio formats supported by this interface are many and include standard 2 channel audio up to 5.1 Dolby Digital channels at high sample rates.
Teleperformance is a global company,in multichannel customer experience, founded in 1978 by Daniel Julien.
yes, it's possible ; 1. situation : if you have a desktop solution : get a decent soundcard. most mid level to high end model support 5.1 as a default. you can connect them directly using analog port with RCA cable. this so gay..as you have a weak 5.1 sound system. 2. situation : same as # 1 solution : use AV Receiver & a good soundcard or video card which supports HDMI and/or SPDIF. nowadays, HDMI connection is the way to go to experience real bang from multichannel. SPDIF connection is also still working, but soon it will be replaced as it's not capable to handle high end codecs (DD TrueHD & DTS-HD MA) on most BluRay Disc. you need to google and read a lot about making this connection works best. 3. situation : you have a laptop solution : use AVR as on #2. if your laptop is old one, you may need to buy USB soundcard to have SPDIF out. NOTE : there is no way you can have external HDMI out device unless your laptop originally comes with built in HDMI port.
Multichannel Television Sound ("MTS") was added in the US in 1984.
