The ingredients of Spry Gum are from China, but it is made here in the US. I would not recommend eating Chinese Products.
You can buy Spry chewing gum at your local health food store, or go to xlear.com to find out.
There are different ingredients in Spry gum like vegetable glycerin that makes me think that it has to do with corn. Check out http://xlear.com They have the information of the products they sell like the spry gum.
Israel. Some stores in the USA import the kosher gum from Israel, but all Wrigley's gum sold officially in the USA is not kosher.
Stride is Cadbury-Adams, and I don't think they have any kosher gums. (Trident Bubblicious or Dentyne)

There is no specific rules, as the companies may become non-kosher in a matter of minutes. If the mashgiach, kosher supervisor, sees a violation of the kashrus, the approval given by that agency (or Rabbi for that matter) is immediately revoked. Check for a reliable kosher symbol, and you should be in good shape!
Sprint gum may contain some non- kosher ingredients like gelatin or food coloring (that comes from insects or pigs). But even if they don't, if they don't pay to be supervised by Rabbis that make sure the Jewish laws are being met, they don't get the mark that says that they are kosher, and Jews cannot know if they are or not. Lastly, even if the gum does not contain any non- kosher ingredients, it can be made in a factory that also makes non- kosher things, and so it might have in it by accident those ingredients.
If Orbit Professional gum sold at regular grocery stores isn't hechshered, try a kosher food store.
