I have a 1998 Ford Expedition XLT. 4.6L, 4X4. I love it. Like everything else on life. There are some Lemon's out there. I'm glad I didnt get stuck with one. I love Ford Trucks.
Use a good synthetic oil, available at Wal*Mart or Auto Zone.
There is not a V6 offered in a Ford Expedition. There is a V6 in a Ford EXPLORER. If you do have an Expedition, you have a 4.6 or a 5.4 V8. Please refer to other posts in this column for EGR remove/install instructions. Most are very good.
It all depends on the year of the expedition. The 97s were junk but all the rest are usually pretty good.
a good idle is usually at 1200 rpm. 600-800RPM
