Most vitamins taken are okay to ingest in excess. Exceeding the daily requirement by more than 125% is not necessarily going to help you, however. Your body will just get rid of what it doesn't need (water-soluble vitamins).

Consult your doctor or pharmacist regarding the 25 different vitamins that you are taking, as some may affect any medications you may be taking. Be sure that you are not taking too much of a particular vitamin that may not be removed in excess from the body (fat-soluble vitamins). Is it bad to be passing unused vitamins through your body?

No, vitamins usually cause no harm to your body in pure form. If you are buying synthetic vitamins, then they are chemicals which are alien to your body and could cause harm. They are often less effective then the natural type regardless. Natural vitamins can easily be flushed out if your body doesn't need them.

How is it possible that less than 1 percent of bacteria cause disease?

Because the majority of bacteria you will enounter everyday and have built up a pretty good immune system by being exposed to them. The 1 percent your referring to will be the ones that have mutated and ones that are not found around you all the time.....e.coli can kill but did you know that you have e.coli in your gut..The deadly one, is a different strain of e.coli, the one in your gut is what is known as 'friendly bacteria' as it helps you out. Have you heard of all these yoghurt type drinks, actimel? yakult? They are all good bacteria, which if you take them, will aid digestion and limit the amount of bad bacteria in your gut. Your farts might not smell so bad(bad bacteria) after taking those drinks for a few weeks lol
