20000mg in 24 hrs is a severe overdose! Immediately take activated charcoal and seek medical assistance.
The maximum dose for self medication should be below 2000mg over 24 hrs, with no single dose of more than 400mg.
The direct analgetic (pain killing) effect does not increase with doses above 400mg, however, doses up to 800mg show an additional anti-inflammatory effect.
Yes, the maximum recommended dose is 400mg no more than 3 times a day.
No, it is not. Taking 2 twice a day, everyday, can be bad eventually.
yes. 200+200=400, etc. the percentage of active ingredients is the same no matter the mass of the dosage.
Most Doctors would try to avoid having you taking both as together they can thin your blood. However, should you need to take both, as Ibuprofen (Naproxen) is an NSAID and reduces inflammation, you should take only 1000mg's of Tylenol (2 - 500mg tablets) and 2 Ibuprofen (2 - 500mg Ibuprofen) every 6-8 hours as needed for pain & inflammation.
I am type 2 diabetic
nothing unusual. Oxycodone and ibuprofen have no multipler or syserginic reactions like if you took xanax and alcohol. Dont take anymore ibuprofen than that though because it is very bad for the liver.
They are both anti-inflammatories so there really is no reason to take both. They both can cause stomach upset so taking them together makes this more likely.
Yes, you may. I am taking both now. Augmentin for a sinus infection and i am also having headaches, so i am taking Ibuprofen. I have asked a pharmacist and they said these 2 drugs can be taken together
You should not drink while taking Ibuprofen. It can cause acids that damage the liver. However, a few light drinks should be fine. Just don't get totally wasted.
Ibuprofen shouldn't cause bleeding. Especially after taking such a small amount. I would see your doctor to investigate the cause of the bleeding. Its possibly a ulcer.
Paracetamol is ok to take with ibuprofen. When i was in hospital i had 2 lots of each.
1.2g = 1200mg600 * 2 = 1200mgGive two tablets.
lortab is a hydrocodone / Tylenol blend. you can take ibuprofen as directed on the package without regard to the consumption of lortab. however, it may be advisable for the purposes of increased pain relief to stagger the doses by 2 hours or so.
personal experiencei had a high fever, headaches, joint/muscle pain, swollen throat/glands.i was taking ibuprofen for 2 days straight, i was taking 2 every 4 hours.then on the second night the pain in my throat got worse so on my last lot of ibuprofen i took 3 instead of 2 which isn't usually a problem.but then in the middle of the night i woke up dehydrated, then when i had a glass of water i was dehydrated again 5 minutes later and my throat and mouth felt like cotton. so i had another glass of water and so on... only after my 5th glass did it calm down enough for me to sleep. i waited 12 hours and then started taking paracetamol instead but i was a lot more careful with them, they did not dehydrate me but they are not as effective (pain relief wise) as ibuprofen.so yes, i do think that ibuprofen does cause dehydration.
