It can be good, and it can be bad. If you are addicted to opiates I would NOT reccomend using methadone. It is the devil. I was on it for 3 years and I had a seizure coming off of it and almost died! However, suboxone is a lower grade narcotic and is being more frequently used to detox patients off of opiates ( heroin, oxys, vicadon, even methadone). If used as a detox only you will ot feel a thing during your detox, it is a miracle drug! Also, if you only take it for a week which is all you need to take it for to detox, than you wont become addicted to it. So It works out greatly. If you are afraid you may go back to using illegal drugs again you can get on suboxone maintenace. Usually about a 2 year program but varies from doctor to doctor. The detox from it is not that bad. You will feel flu like symptoms for about 3-4 days and then its over. You will have problems sleeping though so you may want to take seroquil for a few weeks when getting off suboxone. Although seroquil is typically prescribed for bi-polar disorder, Add, severe depression, and anxiety, it also will stabilize your mood as well as help you sleep like a baby! If you dont want to gettt addicted to another drug at all just take seroquil for about 2-3 weeks a month tops.

Bad idea. Depending on the amount you are taking, how long, and why there can be a number of withdrawls. Seroquel is a strong medicine, it is possible to quit, but this is best done slowly under the supervision of a psychiatrist.
