depends on how you want to take it. by some it is considered a defilement of a flesh. for some it's ok to have to have them, just don't over do it. and for others it doesn't really matter. so by most people, a tatto is not considered a sin. by some it is. which ever you want to take, but if you are affilated to any religious organization, you can find out what their stand is on tattooes.

Tattoos are not explicitly forbidden in the Ten Commandments. However, some religious interpretations consider excessive tattoos or tattoos with inappropriate imagery as violations of the body as a temple. Ultimately, whether getting a tattoo of the Ten Commandments is a sin is subjective and depends on individual beliefs and religious teachings.

A model can have a tattoo, however, a tattoo can be a complicating factor (although they can be airbrushed out of a photograph if they are not wanted). Your particular tattoo may or may not go well with whatever clothing your are modelling, or whatever effect the photographer is trying to create. If a tattoo is needed for a particular photo, they can always give you a temporary tattoo. And that way they can have the exact tattoo that they want. So I advise against getting any permanent tattoo.
