Apparently. During an interview he admitted to making himself sick, so he could fail the military physical examination. Which he apparently did (fail).

The interviewer then asked him if he, "felt any guilt for letting another man (draftee) die in Vietnam in his place...?" to which Ted replied, "thats probably one of the reasons he's pro military and pro guns today, and cheers on the troops in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, to make up for his shameful deeds during the Vietnam War days."

Actually, no.... quite the opposite.... he's a draft dodger! And a disgusting one, at that! When he got his draft notice, for a month or two, he stopped taking baths, ate very unhealthily, and just let himself go completely. Then, two weeks before he was supposed to report, he started going to the bathroom in his pants. Yes, that's right.... number one AND number two, and did NOT change his pants.... all so they government would reject him, and he would not have to serve! Now.... what kind of American does that make this gun-toting, self-proclaimed patriot, never-gonna-take-my-rights-away-as-long-as-some-one-else-is-fighting-for-them kind of guy??

A copy of Nugent's Selective Service record shows that he had at separate times both a 1-Y medical deferment and 2-S student deferment.

1-Y: registrant available for military service, but qualified only in case of war or national emergency. Usually given to registrants with medical conditions that were limiting but not disabling (examples: high blood pressure, mild muscular or skeletal injuries or disorders, skin disorders, severe Allergies, etc.). Class was discontinued in December, 1971 and its members were reclassified as 4-F.

2-S: Registrant deferred because of collegiate study. Deferment lasted either until graduation or until the registrant reached the age of 24.

4-F: Registrant not acceptable for military service. To be eligible for Class 4-F, a registrant must have been found not qualified for service in the Armed Forces by a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) under the established physical, mental, or moral standards. The standards of physical fitness that would be used in a future draft would come from AR 40-501

If what is being said is true he would have had a classifications on 4-F....

Libs are quoting Nugent from a High Times interview in the Summer 1977.

"I got 30 days' notice of the physical, I ceased cleansing my body. Two weeks before the test I stopped eating food with nutritional value. [presumably to foul his lab tests] A week before, I stopped going to the bathroom. I did it in my pants. My pants got crusted up."

If he's a "draft dodger"? i suppose that's in the eye of the beholder.

Obviously Ted Nugent is a liar. The only thing in question is to whom has he been lying. Did he lie to High Times magazine and his pot smoking, hippie audience in 1977 or is he currently lying to his newer, right wing fan base?
