PAP smears are tests that check for abnormal cervical cells that may be an early indication of Cervical cancer, the STD HPV is a major cause of cervical cancer so if someone has not had sex or engaged in sexual activity their risks are very small but the risk is still there are regular PAPS are still a good idea. The term 'virgin' has no real meaning: people can call themselves virgins while still being sexually active such as through outer-course or oral sex, also virgins can have been raped so exposed to HPV in this way too. The only time a PAP smear would be medical abuse would be if it was forced without informed consent or if it involved misconduct that caused harm.
