Absolutely, if the shooter knows his weapon, and it's limitations. The .41 Mag in a rifle developes more than enough knockdown to take deer to 100 yds. easily, if the shooter is proficient with the gun, and knows shot placement. Some folks might hold to a little more distance, but I think the .41 Mag should be kept to not much more than 100 yds. I agree. The .41 magnum is on the list of approved cartridges for deer hunting published by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Since it is actually a pistol cartridge with a heavy, relatively slow moving bullet, the range limit of 100 yards is a good recommendation, I think.
