Professor Layton and the Spectre's Flute, 4th Edition. there is No Release date as of yet.
There hasn't been an official release date set for the 4th Professor Layton mainly because there isn't even a 3rd yet. IF they decide that Professor Layton 2 sold well enough to release the 3rd game in the US, and if THAT game is successful enough, then we can expect the 4th Professor Layton in the US No that is not true. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future has come out, but I don't know if Professor Layton and the Spector's Flute will come out or when if it does come out. Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute is most likely going to be released during mid to end of 2011. I'd say around September or so, we shoud be looking for the release of this game.
yes there will be! its called professor Layton: mask of miracle (3ds) although japan also has Layton: specters flute, but that's not confirmed for Australia yet
At the time of writing, Level 5 are still developing Professor Layton 5 and writing the story for Professor Layton 6 Level 5 have yet to decide whether or not Professor Layton 6 will be the last in the series If there is a Professor Layton 7, this wouldn't be released in Japan until late 2012 and wouldn't be released in English until 2013 or 2014 Any information relating to a possible seventh game would be posted in Hershel Layton's Twitter if and when this becomes available
Professor Layton's Mentor is Dr Schrader, However, there is no mention as of yet, of any other doctor in the Professor's life.
Unfortunately, there isn't information on the 6th Professor Layton yet. Although, there definitely will be a 6th one, seeing as a triology finished (3 games) and there is another triology planning to come out (3 more games). So if there isn't another triology, the 6th game will be the last of the Professor Layton series. Keep watch for news on the beginning of the 2nd triology of the Professor Layton series, the 4th game.
