No. (please read sub-answer)

No, but it is one of them. The most infamous one in the world is the Chironex fleckeri, whose venom in their entire body is enough to kill 60 humans. If a sting from the Chironex fleckeri is untreated, the victim can also die in as little as three minutes.

The two deadliest jellies in the world live in Australian waters, the Chironex fleckeri and the Irukandji jellies. The Irukandji jellies include Carukia barnesi, Malo Kingi, and a few lesser known species. But it is the Chironex fleckeri (sea wasp, marine stinger) that account for almost all recorded human deaths.

What is the deadliest aquatic animal in the world?

There are two contenders for this title. One has the most potent venom, but another species has been responsible for more deaths because it can kill within five minutes of contact. The Irukandji is a very small type of box jellyfish, found in Australian waters and those of the South Pacific, especially around Papua New Guinea and southeast Asia. It delivers a powerful venom said to be 100 times as potent as that of a cobra and 1,000 times as strong as that of a tarantula. Its venom can result in life‑threatening hypertension and pulmonary oedema. Two deaths have been reported in Australia.Running a close second is the Australian sea wasp, or Box jellyfish (Chironex fleckeri). There are about twenty species of box jellyfish, and they are all highly venomous, but the Australian sea wasp has a potent venom that causes agonising pain, and is toxic to nerve, muscle and heart tissue. Death can occur within minutes. In Australia, this jellyfish has been responsible for 64 known deaths since 1883.Put simply: the irukandji is deadlier, but the Chironex fleckeri kills more quickly. The Irukandji Jellyfish is the most dangerous jellyfish in the world. After being shocked, the victim will get Irukandji syndrome symptoms are nausea vomiting, high blood pressure, cramps, severe pain, or even death.

What is the most venomous jellyfish?

The Box Jellyfish is the most deadly jellyfish and lives in AustraliaA lot would say the Box jellyfish. This is true but the deadliest TYPE of box jellyfish isn't the common one. The Irukandji, which isn't often heard of ismore life threatening. What makes people so unsure about its venom is its size. An Irukandji (named after the Aboriginal Irukandji tribe) is transparent, weighs less than an ounce and is smaller than a peanut. As I have said it is not often heard of, which is a great danger because Irukandji stings are not extremely painful until an hour after being stung. If you got stung by one most people's immediate thought would be a bluebottle sting. Irukanji's season is from October till March and are found in northern Australian waters.

What is the most poisones animal?

Answer 1a frog Answer 2'Most poisonous' can mean the toxicity of the poison, or the amount of poison they have, or the number of fatalities caused by their poison.Amongst the most poisonous, by toxicity, would be the Irukandji Jellyfish, considered to be significantly more deadly than the infamous Box Jellyfish. The 'umbrella' of the Irukandji is only about 2.5 cms long, but the thousands of minute 'quick-fire' stingers on its head and tentacles pack a potentially fatal punch! Some species of Box Jellyfish have up enough poison in each tentacle to kill 50 humans. And each Box Jellyfish may have up to 60 tentacles! This means that just one on these creatures has the potential to kill 3000 people! Since 1954, over 5,500 deaths have been attributed to Box Jellyfish stings.Measured by fatalities, the malaria parasite is the most deadly. Over two million people a year die after being infected by this parasite, which is carried by mosquitos. See 'Related Links' below for references and more information ----

What are beaches like in Australia?

Australian beaches are particularly clean and sandy, compared to beaches in many parts of the world. They are not overcrowded, and while tourists do continue to leave rubbish lying around, the beaches are very pleasant places to spend a day. Many beaches are characterised by white sand; fewer beaches are pebblyand/or rocky. The surf in many parts of Australia is excellent. The biggest dager is that many parts of Australia (especially in the northern half of the continent) have dangerous creatures lurking off the beaches, such as bluebottles, box jellyfish, stonefish, irukandji jellyfish and the occasional shark.

Why aren't box jellyfish endangered?

Box Jellyfish have some of the most deadly venom in the world, therefore the amount of animals able to prey on the them is limited. The biggest predator to the box jellyfish is the sea turtle, (the venom does not affect the turtle because it is protected by its shell). However the sea turtle does not solely rely on the box jellyfish for food, so the box jelly fish is generally safe. It also has a wide variety of food available to it since its venom is so deadly and hardly any animals can defend against it. If the box jellyfish went extinct, many species of organisms would increase due to the loss of a great predator.
