Is the Belgian Laekenois a good pet for people allergic to dogs?

Yes. Although its coat is not exactly like that of poodle or schnauzer, it is below-average shedding, compared with the crazy shedders like the Malinois (worst), Tervuren, and Gronendale. I love my Malinois but hate the shedding, especially in March, April, and June! Laekenois has all the virtues of a mal plus more! But it's very hard to find. Some people find it very protective, so if you can find a Laekenois and Poodle mix, that would be an all around dog you will have

They are very trusting and loyal, and are willing to live anywhere as long as you give them time to release their boundless energy. In looks, they are similar to German Shepherds but their fur is much longer and they have much sharper features, and slightly larger feet. I personally love them :)
