There are too many contradictions and discrepancies in the Bible for it to be the inspired or authorative word of God. If it is inspired, then in the words of Raymond E. Brown (An Introduction to the New Testament), inspiration does not guarantee historicity or reconcilability.

Answer:

The mere fact that everything in the Bible is very "Israel-centric" suggests that it's a tribalistic account (i.e. an account from one perspective) of history. Subsequent edits, revisions and translations have also been done in order for certain groups of people to use the Bible as a source of power. If god existed and this was his "inspired" work, one would've expected him to at least include the entirety of his creation in it since (at least) according to Christianity, the whole of humanity is bound to these laws.

Answer

Yes. Christians can say this with confidence since the Bible has been repeatedly shown to be accurate "scientifically" and "historically" although written at times when facts now known were not yet discovered, Archaeology repeatedly verifies the accuracy of civilizations referred to in the Bible. The cohesiveness of the Biblical accounts despite many human authors is also notable. When the claims against inspiration are examined, the arguments often hinge on misquotes of what the Bible actually says, inflated alleged errors (the Bible we have today is remarkably similar and only differs on minor points), unreasonable expectations of what evidence should still be in existence today if the accounts were true, or applying modern day sensibilities to ancient cultures and not understanding what was the usual custom of the day.

Answer:

The Bible says it is: (II Timothy 3:16-17).

God reveals it to whom He will... and grants faith to whom He will.

"...by grace are ye saved through faith; and that (faith) not of yourselves: it is the gift of God..." (Eph.2:8)

We believe it... or we don't. It's personal and intimate.

"Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He cometh shall find watching... if He shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants." (Luke 12:37-38)

"...when the Son of Man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8)

AnswerOnly the original Autographs were perfectly inspired, IITim.3:16. The Bibles are absolutely authoritative, faithful, and trustworthy in the sense as an aid only in an effort in some measure to indicate the original inspired ancient languages. Bibles are interpretive where diverse interpretations all appear as the one genuine interpretation, deception after deception where most think they have their ticket to heaven although they are actually unknowingly worshiping the second beast, Rev.13:14b, through Bible translations.
