Is the Hunger Games based on the future?
Good question :) I like to hope not!! haha
As we are talking about the future, it is not a confirmed answer. There is a possibility that the hunger games (televised fights to the death) could take place somewhere in the future. Most people think not. However, similar things to the hunger games have happened in the past, and history seems to repeat itself.
The Hunger Games is a fiction series written by Suzanne Collins that many believe takes place in the future America, called Panam and the government takes charge, basically. The Hunger Games isn't true (the part where they go into the arena to fight to their death) but I suppose a few minor details Suzanne (the author) may have based off of real life.
The Hunger Games and Battle Royale have a similar plot, but The Hunger Games is not a rip off. Here are some differences posted by our contributors: First of all, The Hunger Games is set in the future. Battle Royale is not. Battle Royale's "tributes" are captured and taken, the tributes in The Hunger Games are chosen. The Hunger Games can last longer than a day, Battle Royale's battles to the death do not.
The Hunger Games is not based on any story. It is rather based on ancient history; to be specific, Rome. It uses many aspects of the ancient Roman culture, including Roman names, architecture, and ideas. A Roman idea The Hunger Games uses is the idea of arena fighting, which, actually, is the whole excitement of the story.
The Hunger Games is about a country called Panem in the ruins of North America somewhat in the future and its annual competition, the Hunger Games. In the Hunger Games, the Capitol, the heart of Panem, forces the twelve surrounding districts to each send one boy and one girl to fight the other districts in Panem. And in the Hunger Games, there is only one rule: Stay Alive.
Month-Wise, the 75th Hunger Games take place during the fall. If you mean year-wise, this is far in the future, in the ruins of North America. It doesn't say an exact year, but Suzanne Collins is very interested in writing books about things that happen in the future. It must be a while past where we are now. Time-Wise, the hunger games dont say when they start.
There will probably be Hunger Games related games in the future, but currently they do have a game (app) for iPhones. In the game you have to face The Trackeer Jackers, and many other problems that Katniss Everdeen had to face! There is actually now a Hunger Games board game, called Jabberjay, which is available in many places, but I have mainly seen it in the bookshop Waterstones, along with lots of other Hunger Games…
What is the theoretical and experimental probability of tributes from districts 1.2.4 winning the hunger games?
The Hunger Games is set in a place once called North America, which would indicate that it is in the future. People often perceive the future to be very technologically advanced. The Hunger Games is set in the future because that makes it easier to believe that hovercrafts and force fields really exist in this world. But it also shows irony in the setting because it is almost hard to believe that people could possible…
The book, The Hunger Games, is part of the Science Fiction genre. This is a Science Fiction book because the book is set in the future and has new inventions and usage of words. The Hunger Games, is set in the future because the continent of North America has been conquered by a group of people and is now called the country of Panam. It is also set in the future because they have hovercraft's…
The Hunger Games began in Panem, which is the future ruins if North America. There are 12 districts. According to President Snow the Hunger Games was started as a reminder of the "dark days", and a reminder that the capital controlls the people and a reminder for them not to rebel. It is also entertainment for the capitol. Have fun reading! :)
