Whenever some scandal is headlined in the news, people often confuse anything with a same or similar name...and in this case they couldn't be more wrong in thinking it has ANYTHING to do with Rupert Murdoch!!

It is a FANTASTIC, AWARD-Winning Canadian TV series called MURDOCH MYSTERIES!! - and anyone who hasn't seen it should tune it in every week. It is in its 4th season now and filming a 5th...

I enlose an article written by a critic for your information...

"OK. I don't know about you but I am crazy for Murdoch Mysteries !

Must have been too busy selling homes in the last few years because I only discovered it, quite by accident last summer. During off times I was all over the internet looking for the past episodes and was able to watch them all (3 seasons!) before they were taken down...lucky me. I just love this series! They are based on the books of author Maureen Jennings of the same title.Season 4 has just started airing on City-TV and I am thrilled and enthralled! "

"A beautifully acted and conceived series filmed in Victorian settings in and around the City of Toronto. They film in many southern Ontario locations because I can imagine its not easy to find completely unspoiled Victorian homes and buildings these days. Its Victorian era murder mysteries and a Detective, William Murdoch - wonderful actor, Yannick Bisson - who uses far-reaching investigative techniques to solve the murders. The cast of characters and the actors portraying them are wonderful too!"

"The scenery, use of historical archival maps and photos of the city, the clothing, the mannerisms, the acting, the writing is all fantastic. I'm hooked!

If you haven't had the chance to see it...I highly recommend you do! It airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on City-TV. You can watch recent episodes online too."

(Murdoch Mysteriesinteractive website. Bravo to the makers of this splendidly crafted Canadian dramatic series! )

Can Rupert Murdoch save ABC Soaps?

If Mr. Murdoch could save the ABC Soaps that would be great. He could show them on Fox at night like the Spanish soaps, or even charge by letting us subscribe to them. There is still a big market for Soaps can't they see that, Disney needs to stick with what they do best, kids movie and theme parks because television they suck.

How does the role of TV and radio in the war in Vietnam compared to that for Iraq?

Vietnam televised news coverage showed extensive air strikes at close range showing extensive damage and casualties of terrain, buildings, roads, and civilians, as well as around US troops engaged in battle. Firefights shown on the same TV coverage showed US casualties lying on the ground, being carried onto the tops of tanks, armored personnel carriers, jeeps, trucks, helicopters, etc. News footage frequently showed US Jet Fighter aircraft being struck by Surface to Air Missiles (SAM's), or Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA). News footage (released from Hanoi, capital of North Vietnam) showed US Airmen being captured and marched off to a Prisoner Of War camp. US news footage frequently showed US Naval aircraft being launched from aircraft carriers enroute to bomb North Vietnam. Some footage showed returning battle damaged naval aircraft crashing onto the carrier or crashing into the sea.
