Many Americans like to pretend there is a Northern international passage by chopping off the Baffin islands from the rest of Canada and claiming it is "international" waters that would be like saying the Mississippi river is international because someone wanted to have free shipping to a place in the middle of the states said so, which, fyi, is what happened in this case.
Just because some American desperately wants to change things, grow up , it's in Canada.
