To me the computer one has more realisitc graphics, better features and is just, plain funner. Unless you enjoy small games which contain mini-games etc. you are better off getting sims on the computer.

If you have enough memory on your computer then yes. But most people don't and when they have both on the computer it lags or they're told to delete some stuff from their computer. The only way to know for sure is to try it. The worst that can happen is that you have to delete one and keep the other.
