Has cataclysm came out yet for wow?
No, Cataclysm is currently still in Beta, although some aspects such as the UI have been released to the PTR for testing. This will be part of patch 4.0, before Cataclysm.
How do you play lich king on wow with new patches for cata?
If your account is flagged for Wrath of the Lich King, but you did not buy Cataclysm, the game works as normal. However, you will not be able to make Goblin or Worgen characters, learn Archaeology, level above level 80 or access the Cataclysm zones. All content that existed prior to Cataclysm is still available to you, including the revamped Old World questlines and zones. These are available to all players regardless of which expansions they bought.
Will the Old Azeroth be accessible after Cataclysm?
No. When cataclysm hits, it will change everything. Do not worry though, you will not have to do anything, people who do not purchase cataclysm right away will still be able to see the new azeroth. the world will change for everyone. you just wont be able to make the new races.

Blizzard Entertainment recently announced that Cataclysm will be released on December 7th, 2010. There will be at least two major patches leading up to the Cataclysm release. Patch 4.01 will release the talent, spell and UI changes, along with the Guild UI changes. Another patch will be released just prior to Cataclysm launch containing the changes to the world, along with the ability to start goblins and worgen.Note: you will still need to upgrade to cataclysm when it launches to play the new races, the patch will just give ya a little taste.

when cataclysm is released, the geography of the original game will change permanently. this means that even if you don't purchase the expansion you'll still be able to see the changes. however, you will not be able to use any new content that comes out with cataclysm, such as the two new races (worgen and goblin)

Currently for most of the daily quests, it is 13g and some silver for each daily and regular 75-80ish quest. This will probably change in cataclysm. For lower level quests you still get gold but at a reduced amount, mainly because at 80 you no longer gain experience. Again, this might change in cataclysm.
