During the Vietnam War a high proportion of air raids in North Vietnam were done by aircraft from the Seventh fleet aircraft carriers. China could only watch then but now they say that water belongs to them. US presence today is not as strong as it used to be and only for surveilance purposes, and for good reason: China is trying to take sole possesion of the Souht China Sea!
