Westies are incredibly smart, but they require firm guidance and structure. They can be little lap dogs, but catch sight of a squirrel and BAM! they are out of the park.
There's a lot of upkeep that comes along with Westies too. They're more prone to Allergies, need to have glands drained often and are definitely a commitment money-wise.
Westies are sweet dogs, but like any other breed, can become very temperamental if raised in an improper atmosphere.
