Inside of the vehicle under the dash on driver side
A Honda Civic Type R alarm system will not be located under the hood of the vehicle. The brain is hidden inside the cabin of the car underneath the dashboard.
Under drivers side of dashboard
The airbag module is the blue module box under the dashboard near the feet of the driver.
The alarm module should be located at the bottom of your windshield under the panel that covers your wiper motor. I've been told it could be in different spots depending on the year but the horn for your alarm should be below your wipers so you can disconnect the horn if your having troubles with your alarm. I just found mine. It is under the dashboard, above the fuse box. Near the headlight switch. Lower fuse box to gain access. It is a black box with two connectors on it. 6 and 10 pin on mine.
The module for keyless entry on a 2000 Ford Taurus is located under the driver side dashboard. It is a small box that controls all the functions of the alarm system.
The central locking module, on a 1999 Renault, is located under the dashboard.
The "pcm" is located inside the passenger compartment under the dashboard tucked into the corner near the abs module on the driver's side. The pcm is easily distinguished by the aluminum fins attached to the bottom of the module.
The Electronic Control Module (ECM)/ Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located inside the passenger compartment under the dashboard behind the relay panel. Remove the lower trim panel under the glovebox for access to the relay panel and the ECM/PCM.
The cruise control module of a 1993 Mercury Villager is located under the passenger side of the dashboard.
The alarm functions are handled by both the PCM, under the hood, and the BCM, back side of under dash fuse panel.
your electronic control module is bad, it will cost around 800.00 plus it is located under the drivers seat! good luck!
