Is the band Nightrage speed metal or death metal?
Melodic death metal
Probably Cannibal Corpse, if we limit the spectrum to actual Death Metal, and don't consider these so-called 'Melodeath' bands. If not Death (the band that is the founder of death metal), I'm gonna have to say Dark Tranquility. Dark Tranquility, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Nightrage, and Insomnium are examples of REAL melodeath (melodic death metal) and not that watered down fully commercialized crap melodeath.
Apparently so. They are named after demon Belphegor and are said to be a black death-speed metal band.
The band Death litterally invented death metal
Death - metal band - was created in 1983.
Death - metal band - ended in 2001.
They're a generic Gothenburg band. Many of these so-called "melodic Death Metal" bands play something which is derived almost exclusively from Power and Speed Metal, and will have little - if any - Death Metal influence, whatsoever (although a few of Arch Enemy's albums to make the occasional nod to old school Thrash/Death).
Well the band "Death" is the first band considered to be death metal. -What about Possessed? They came out like 2 years before Death...
no thire a speed metal or hard rock band.
They are neither Satanic nor a Death Metal band, especially in their current form.
Dragonforce!!! 8D The guy above me has answered wrongly, Dragonforce is a power metal band, As for me, the most famous Death Metal band I can think of is In Flames.
"Venom" is a death metal band
No, they are a death metal band from Detroit, Michigan.
No, FFDP is not a Christian band. The band is classified as heavy metal, hard rock, grooves metal, and alternative metal.
Supposedly Florida's Morbid Angel is considered in the founding and development in death metal. I have no clue why the band Death(also from Florida) was answered for being the answer. Death was formed and influenced after from bands like Morbid Angel and the band Possessed.
In Flames is not an evil band. They are a death metal band, but that does not make them evil.
Not at all. Evanescence is an American ROCK band.
The best female death metal singer would be from Arch Enemy.
Slipknot Slipknot are not 'death metal' they are nu metal. You want a 'death metal' band look into ABACABB, Nile or Job for a Cowboy. Also try The Black Dahlia Murder they are Melodic death metal.
toxik is a great speed/thrash band.
It's I Deal Suicide there a death metal band
Yeah. More like Celtic Speed Metal. Yes
None other than Death itself.
Stryper is the only one I know of that is metal, but no Christian band is going to promote death.
Drummer of the Death Metal band NILE

Scar Symmetry is a Swedish melodic death metal band
No i don't think so but it is a death/metal metalcore band.
according to there myspace status they are Death Metal / Grindcore / Hardcore so ya pretty much.. a type of heavy metal.
Sepultura is a Brazilian Metal band. The band is sometimes considered Death Metal, or Thrash Metal, or even groove metal. They have drawn inspiration from nu metal, hardcore punk, and industrial metal.
The only band I've been able to find is a band on Myspace calling themselves "Food Metal" (see related link at the bottom).
It would probably be the founders of the genre - Possessed. They formed in 1983, and the band is still active today.
Basically, out of the thrash metal scene of the mid- to late eighties. Bands like Kreator, Sodom, and most of all, Death, turned thrash metal into a faster, more technical style that became known as death metal (due to the band Death, deemed to be the pioneers of death metal).
Dark Tranquility is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg.
The heaviest death metal band would have to be Morbid Angel or Deicide. White Chapel is not death metal they are metalcore. Same musical structure but Death Metal is much more difficult, it requires a lot more skill than what metalcore bands could ever require. You should listen to Suffocation and Skinless as well.
Metalcore/Melodic Death Metal
you cant really answer this question because every band has songs that vary in speed and style
As I Lay Dying, Blindside, and I Am Terrified are metal. Also, Mortification is a really good Christian death band.
No, Five Finger Death Punch is a heavy metal band.
This question can be a bit more ambiguous than you realise. Out of all the band which played Death Metal, Sepultura would be it. However, none of the albums they released during their Death Metal period would be particularly high grossing albums. Out of straightforward, true-to-form Death Metal bands, who haven't deviated away from it, Cannibal Corpse would be the band. As for the so-called Melodeath bands, they're irrelevant.
Gothenburg's finest , In Flames. Likely In Flames. I would say the band Death itself. it is all just opinion anyway.
Not as far as I know, though depending on the band, it can be associated with satanism. Don't worry, not all death metal bands are Satanist!
Nowhere remotely close. Evanescence isn't even a Metal band to begin with..
he loves Death metal. and his fav band is HIM
I've been told it is Deathclock
Cannibal Corpse, easily.
X JAPAN- they are a Japanese proggressive rock, speed metal, 80s metal band.
It is either master or possessed. Possessed released the first death metal album "Seven Churches" in 1985. Many people think its death but it's not.
Yes, he was in a death metal band called Old Funeral, black metal band Mayhem, his own solo project called Burzum and two others that aren't quite known.
I wouldn't say it's death metal but try "Woe, is Me" listen to the whole thing it gets heavier as it goes.
