Generally it depends on the genre of music and how proficient you want to be. If you want to be as good as Mark king (Level 42) the bass player all professional bass players would want to be, you've got some serious practice ahead.
The bass is easier to learn owing to the fact that it often doesn't play chords, only single notes to keep rhythem.
Hello, personally i thought it was easier to start on a standard 6 string guitar. reason being is there are alot of videos out there for guitar and alot of tab books. :)
This is all a matter of opinion, Depending on how you choose to play the instrument. If you're looking for an easier instrument, there's no real answer apart from to go down to your local music shop and pick up a selection until you find something you like. a bass is an integral part of a band, and there are many more styles on you would have to learn, where as a guitar has few styles but can completely stand alone on its own. they're just different! Both bass guitar and regular guitar are easy to pick up but can be the hardest instruments to master, due to the various styles in which you would have to learn.
I think you should play bass first. It is a slower part and is easier for beginners. I think you should learn guitar first before playing the bass one. I think you should learn how to play guitar first because you at least will know the notes and know how to plaY A little. They're both guitars but can be played differently. If you like the funkyness or the low tone of the bass, go for it. Its a little difficult than guitar since theres different ways to play it, but if you want to shred and have fun the E. Guitar, go for that. Its up to you. You say you want to learn to play the bass, so learn bass first.
One can learn how to solo with a bass guitar from many different resources that provide lessons. Some online examples include Youtube and About - Guitar.

No its definatly allot easier to play, Its slightly easier because there are only 4 strings (some basses can have more)Its easy to pickup and play but there are some Techniques that can be hard but they are optional for playing.

base guitar= does not exist. bass guitar= a form of the stand up bass made to get a different sound and easier for transportation. Folk guitar= usually an acoustic guitar. not a specific brand or type. but an acoustic guitar. Folk guitar is a style like rock guitar, jazz guitar, metal guitar there are not different guitars, and style can be played on any guitar (obviously some are easier on certain types of guitars)
The main difference between a guitar amp and a bass amp is that a bass amp is designed to handle the lower frequencies produced by a bass guitar, while a guitar amp is optimized for the higher frequencies of a regular guitar. This means that a bass amp typically has a larger speaker and more power to accurately reproduce the deep tones of a bass guitar.
Guitar and bass are very similar. They both have a similar build and use basically the same overall technique, with many nuance differences. The guitar has six strings, and the bass has four. The four strings on a bass are the same as the four lowest sounding strings on a guitar. The biggest differences between the two are that the guitar uses chords and scales, whereas the bass uses mostly just scales, and the guitar has two more strings than a bass. Since the guitar uses chords and has two more strings, it is a little bit trickier to learn than the bass. Therefor, if you know guitar fairly well, you should be able to play bass without ever taking a lesson, whereas if you know bass fairly well, it will be a little bit more effort to learn the guitar.
yes and a bass, its all in what tuning you use
