It is located mainly in the eastern and central parts of Australia. Although many bearded dragons were removed from their natural environment as a result of pet trade, their number in the wild is still stable. They are not on the list of endangered species.

They might give you a tiny bite or scratch, but they would probably have a hard time doing anything worse to you. Bearded dragons love their owners if they are treated properly. A well treated beardie would not intentionally hurt someone, so no.
