well, i got one quite recently from virgin on contract. i found the keyboard much easier to use than my old touchscreen phone, even though the keyboard moves around a bit when you type. when i first got it, my blackberry messenger didn't work but that was because they had put me on the wrong tariff! i would recommend it to you as i love my bbm! i find it phone really fun and easy to use:)

yes in my opinion it is. the 8520 is great all my friends have one as do i and bbm is such a good way to get in touch with people and you can download so many apps it is quite cool like facebook.twitter.ect. the keys are quite small so at first when you type you might have diffrent letter or numbers but if you dont then great!. after a while this should'nt be a problem as it is quite easy to type on now so yes i would recommend hope it helped:)

Build quality is better on the 89 and has all round better feel, software is superior and the screen is higher res in appearance. The standard blackberry trackball is good but the touch pad on the 85 works really well, best to try them both out first.I prefer the 89 obviously
