The first combination [Father 0+, Child AB-] is not possible, because for the child to have both A and B, neither of the parents can be O. If one parent is O, the child will receive an O from one parent and whatever else from the other, which could only result in O, A, or B, not AB.

As for the second combination, that is entirely possible. Because the father is O, the mother can be A, B, or O. This is possible because those with A or B blood also have O in their blood, and so can pass on either the O or the A/B. And of course, an O and an O would equal a child with O type blood.
