Under the dash in the heater?AC housing.
The ac evaporator is located inside the heater housing under the dash on the passenger side.
The evaporator on the Ford Mustang is located between the dash and the firewall. Dash removal is required to remove the evaporator for replacement. The dealer replacement evaporator comes with the evaporator housing. The intake air assembly, blower motor, blower resistor, actuators, heater core, etc., have to be switched to the replacement housing. There is a photo on Honda Man's Bio page with the dash removed and the evaporator housing placed on the rear of the car.
Located at the evaporator inlet which is under the dash in the heater/AC housing.
Yes, both the heater core and evaporator are in the HVAC housing, which has to be removed to access either.
Heater core is on the passenger side behind the glove box, this is also the location of the air conditioner evaporator core.. they should be in the same housing.
no , the heater core is for your heat , the evaporator core is for your air conditioning ( cooling )
According to my Hanes repair manual, it is under the dash attached to the firewall just beside the evaporator housing.
It meters liquid high pressure refrigerant into the evaporator which is located in the heater housing under the dash. It controls refrigerant flow to keep the evaporator coil from icing up.
Take out the screws that hold the AC/Heater housing together and separate it, and it's right there.
