No, they are two different keys.
i have 2002 Mercedes s430, i put the key inside ingnition but i can't turn the key to start the engine, can you tell me what is the problems?
to remove simply move the steering column cover then move the key forward under the cylinder there will be a silver button push in and pull out the cylinder with key at the same time
Do you want the ignition switch or the key tumbler?
Chase your ingnition wires into head light and unplug them.
how to open a glove compartment on a 2008 highlander without the key
The key doesn't open the secret compartment! You click on the different panels on Mark Twain's wall to find the compartment. The key is for luggage.
if it is an auto check the wiring around the gearshift as this may be telling the car that it is not in park!!
Check the ECC and fuel pump relays in the engine compartment fuse panel, one of them is probably malfunctioning. They work in series, once the key is turned on the ECC is activated and it in turn activates the fuel pump.
YOUR CAR WA STOLEN AND THEY PUT A NEW IGNATION..... DOOR JOB IT
While the alarm is beeping, turn the ingnition to on position push the button in then take the key out.
If its the same as my 2001 malibu, you turn the key to the on position leave it on for about 10 mins. When the security light goes off turn the key to off. You should then be able to start the engine normally. Its the worst system ever devised.
I can only tell you that the same thing happened on my 83 300D. The ingnition was just worn out. The ignition is encased in hardened steel and it cost over $700 to replace Is it as simple as the wheels are cramped and binding the steering wheel?
