Yes, They are the same. GM uses the same parts for Pontiac and Chevy, although the carb may be different therefore the carb from the Pontiac will not always work with a Chevy.
If you are asking the lug nut bolt pattern it's 5 on 4 3/4
only a Buick, olds or Pontiac engine will bolt to a Pontiac tranny as Chevy blocks have a different bolt pattern.
Some Pontiacs came from the factory with Chevy engines. If this is the case on your 79 firebird, then the transmission will bolt up to a 350 Chevy. If the car came with a Pontiac engine, then the bolt pattern is different and would not bolt up.
5x4.75 also know as GM small bolt pattern, same as firebird, camaro, vetter, GTO, chevelle, Monte Carlo, cutlass, s-10, corvette
The Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro from 1993-2002 have factory 16x8 inch wheels. 16x7 wheels will have to be custom fabricated to safely fit the unique backspacing and hub pattern of these cars.
No, not even close. Pontiac 350 intakes will interchange with 1965-1979 Pontiac 389,400,421,428,455 intakes. Most all aftermarket Pontiac V8 intakes are designed for the 1965 up bolt pattern. 350 Chevy is part of the small block Chevy engine family, and virtually nothing interchanges with a Pontiac V8.

Yes, you will need the Pontiac motor mounts, and the transmission for the Pontiac has a different bolt pattern than the chevy, so a Buick, Olds, Pontiac turbo 350 or 400 will be required if it is an automatic. If a manual transmission is used you will need the Pontiac specific flywheel and bellhousing. Pontiac also has the starter, battery, and fuel pump mounted on the opposite side from Chevy, so you will need to address these issues.Overall it is not that hard of a swap, the parts from a similar year Firebird all fit the Camaro, making it pretty much a bolt in.
PONTIAC G8 BOLT PATTERN IS 5X120; OFFSET: HIGH. LUGS 14X1.5
I believe they will interchange, just look at the wire plug and look at the bolt pattern that will tell you for sure. I asked the question, because I am a dolt when it comes to car repair. I don't actually have the part. I asked, because I wanted to buy a new blower motor, but the one on the jcwhitney website was for a 1992 Firebird, rather than my actual model and year (they do not have one for my specific car). I don't want to waste the money and get a part that won't fit. Thanks for the answer, though.
