To Halo-gaming fans this might some-what ruin it for them but, for people who haven't played it might make them interested and bring the creaters make extra cash while they design another game for the fans. So its a nice business move but I doubt any Halo fans will like the anime as much as the game..

Simple answer: Yes. The movie is a bit different from the anime because it was translated by a different company years before the anime was brought to America. The movie has a different voice cast than the series. It also does not include the style of humor the anime has. The plot is decent and the action is good, so you should watch it, but be warned it's not going to be the same as watching the series. Oh, one more thing: Kurabara is called Kurahara in the movie. No idea why.
