Not at all. By giving space to the opposing side, that variously claims that global warming is not happening, is happening but is not a problem, or is happening and is a problem but we have no power to stop it, the news media is unintentionally playing down the problem of global warming. This is a concern for scientists, who say global warming is real but can be stopped if we take decisive action before it is too late.

In the past global warming was natural in that humans lacked the technology to have much impact. Currently the climate should actually be very gradually cooling, not warming rapidly as it is. Virtually all of the present warming is attributable to human activity. In other words, yes, people are making it worse.

The gasses we let out are helping global warming becoming worse and worse. The gasses that our cars produce, smoke from grills, hair-spray, etc, it's all worsening the climate.
