It depends on where it was left, why, when, how long, lighting conditions, should a prudent person have been able to see it and stop? The list of questions is endless. You could be held some percentage or all or none At Fault.. More detailed information and I could ge of greater assistance.

If you hit another vehicle then you are liable for the damages and your auto insurance will respond. Just call your insurer and notify them of a loss. It does not matter if the vehicle was disabled or not. It's just a matter of who hit who?

The damages were paid under your uninsured motorists coverage which has at least a $250 deductible for property damage so when all the damages are recovered from the person, that will include the deductible and you will get a check back for that amount.

It needs to be reprogrammed, either know someone with a starscan or tow it to the dealer... I worked in a dealership and we had quite a few towed in for the same reason.....
