The amount of support is set by the court based on a percentage of the income of the supporting parent. It does not increase unless you can prove that the payors income has substantially increased as well. If so, you would have to go to court with a motion for a re-calculation of the support amount. The judge will hold a hearing - look over the supporting, and dissenting, documentation and issue a ruling either maintaining, increasing (OR DECREASING) the support amount. (CAUTION: In todays economy; if the payor's salary has decreased, or ceased altogether, your awarded amount might be reduced.)
