She is more important to the British Commonwealth than the US President. So far as the world is concerned the US President has more power.
The speaker of the house is very important. He/she becomes president of the US in the event the President and vice president become unable to hold their office.
Gerald Ford.
It is important to have a president because without one, there would be no laws, no kind of rule, and nothing but chaos and anxiety. To put it simpler, we would be in for a rude awakening (and possibly deadly).
33 of the 47 US vice-president never became President. See the related questions for more details.
Intelligence, Honesty, Connectivity, Persistence, and Leadership, Not a R.A.C.E.S.
They have the same power, but the US president has more tools at his disposal.
no they have president
the queen is important because she rules over Great Britain and ireland. AND QUEEN ELIZBETH DID NOT GET MARRIED BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO MAKE ENGLAND MORE POWERFUL FOR US
How is life in the United States with a king or queen different from a life in the United States with a president
Parliament and an executive branch and president aren't really comparable. Parliament is very comparable to the US Congress. One has a house of Lords, the other has a Senate. One has a house of Commons, the other has a house of Representatives. The Parliament and the Congress are fairly similar. A President is more comparable to a king or queen, although the US President has been given a lot more individual power by the US citizens than a current king or queen has.
The USA is a republic. The Queen does not have an equivalent of the Governor General to represent her in the US as she is not the head of state there, the president is.
Since the United States is not a monarchy, but a republic, the United States does not have a king or queen. We have an elected president.
No, not necessarily. Imagine the US president, and the Queen of the UK. Both are democratic nations - the Queen is the UK's figurehead, the Prime Minister is a closer equivalent to the president. But then also consider the so-called 'President for Life' of a dictatorship, or a tyrannical despotic monarch. The average citizen will have a much better quality of life in the first two cases, than the second. So the title itself is not as important as the nature of the leadership and government.
it represents the important president that fighted for us
As queen she is the Head of State for Britian, just as the President is the head of state for the United States so she is given equal honours.
People have the right to complain to the king or queen in Parliament without being arrested, executed, etc. So us people have more rights than the king or queen now.
why was it important for the country to have someone of George WWashington character for its first president
