Each has its advantages and disadvantages compared to the other. The SLR fires a more powerful cartridge. In some cases (such as Northern Ireland) it was found to be too powerful. The SA80s cartridge has been found to be underpowered in some instances.
The SLR was a variant of the FAL - an extremely reliable rifle. Early SA80s had a lot of teething troubles, to the point where the British government considered replacing them outright with M16s and M4s (they probably would've gone with the Diemaco/Colt Canada C7 and C8s). This was rectified to some extent in 1997 when Heckler & Koch revamped the rifle, creating the L85A2, which has a better service record than the original.
The SA80 has a larger basic combat load for ammo - when you consider that most ammo expended in a firefight is used for suppression, the advantage is clear.
The SLR has longer range, but most firefights occur within a 300 meter range. The L85/SA80 is shorter, making it advantageous in tight spots. Firer ergonomics were better with the SLR vs. the awkwardly placed selector switch on the L85/SA80.
This depends on the price. A pricy slr camera is better than a regular. A pricy regular is mostly better than a cheap slr camera. So I would recommend to look for good but expensive ones.

Canon digital sir is better than other sir cameras because it provides better pictures. The quality of the pictures is a lot clearer and easier to modify.
comparing them like compare nikon and canon in slr world
The SLR is a fast car and so is the Zonda. It is proven that the SLR is faster
Slr cameras have great lens versatility, better performance than prosumer digicam and film cameras, and better shooting flexibility. They also have virtually no per shot cost as opposed to film cameras.
It depends on your preference. Canon is much more popular in the SLR space than Nikon, but Nikon users swear by their lenses.
I think you mean 'Birmingham Small Arms - Self Loading Rifle'.
SLR or single lens reflex refers to a particular type of camera in which the image and the viewfinder are both taken from one lens. effectively WYSIWYG. auto focus auto exposure modes have been available in SLR cameras for a very long time thus making them "automatic." As a side note an SLR need not have exchangeable lenses to be an SLR nor are all cameras with exchangeable lenses SLR's. The primary advantage of SLR's is the fact that the image in the viewfinder is pretty much the image that you get when you release the shutter.

SLR digital cameras are professional grade cameras which have settings which may be manipulated to produce outstanding photos that otherwise could not be achieved with a regular digital camera
