It is a copy, even dyed the same color. If you can't bet it, copy it:)It is always better to stick with the original(K&N).
No, what you need is a "K&N Air Intake Performance Kits" also check out "k&n cold air intake"
the simplest answer is that when you purchase the after market "cold air intake" there will be instructions with it. If you intend to make one your self then I would suggest just taking everything out and, get a cone style K&N air filter or, something comparable to attach directly to the throttle body.
cold air intake, K & N airfilter dual exhaust
If you buy a good intake like an K&N you can look to get 10 to 15 ponys.
there is only one cold air intake for them unless you make your own its made by k&n and it sucks dont get it have some one make you one cause that is what i did
There are many good places to online to buy air intake filters. For a good review of what filters are best, you may find a good review at the following website: http://www.autoanything.com . You can find k and n filters at K and N Filters website at www.knfilters.com/cold_air_intakes.htm, or at the Official K and N store at store.knfilters.com/.
If there are a lot of deep puddles or it floods a lot, get a short ram intake since you can not use your cold air intake in those conditions (even with a air bypass valve). Alternately, you can get a K&N Typhoon intake that can convert between cold air and short ram lengths. If flooding is never a concern, or you don't mind constantly switching back and forth to get the most power in ideal conditions, then get a cold air.
get a bigger air intake K&N unpluge your EGR vavle
K&N or AEM will work just fine.
use a k&n with stock intake. my 2001 (112,000 mi) gets 27 mpg in town, 30 hwy. mobil1 5000 & lucas.
K&N states 11.83 hp gain @ 4248 rpm
jegs.com sells specter air intake parts. They sell it in peices from 4" to 6" and in any angle i bought it for my 2003 Volvo S60 and it works great. Its also much cheaper than a K n N or AEM filter kit and K n N and AEM don't make any.
