The Tanakh and even the Apostolic writings do not emphasize anything except the unity of G-d. The significant emphasis placed on the idea of trinity is something that was later added within the development of Christianity in an effort to distance the church from Judaism and/or make conversion for pagans easier.

Yes, The Bible reveals 2 divine beings from Genesis 1:26 and the use of the term 'Elohim' which some refer to as a 'majestic plural' for God. Letting the Bible interpret itself, we find in John 1:1-4 that in the beginning (Genesis is the book of beginnings for the physical universe in particular) there was a divine being known as the Word or Logos who was with 'the God' and was Himself, God (think family unit here). The Word would take on the role of a man and become the Son of God as 'the God' would now be known as Our Father.

Nowhere in the Scripture is the idea of the 3 person in one - the trinity - ever described. The commonly accepted view of the early Christian Church era before the manmade Trinity doctrine took hold was of the Father, the Son and the future 'sonships' as God's children: In Bishop Irenaeus' Against Heresies, Book 4, preface, he states: "There is none other called God by the Scriptures except the Father of all, and the Son, and those who possess the adoption (i.e., future children of the God Family)."

Even the originating group for the Trinity doctrine, when confronted with the Scriptures admits: " The OT (Old Testament) clearly does not envisage God's spirit as a person...God's spirit is simply God's power" (New Catholic Encyclopedia, 1965, Vol. 13, "Spirit of God," p. 574).

A reference work 'A Catholic Dictionary' also acknowledges, "On the whole the New Testament, like the Old, speaks of the spirit as a divine energy or power" (William Addis and Thomas Arnold, 2004, "Trinity, Holy," p. 827).

Currently, God is a Family of two divine beings - the Father and the Son, Jesus. In the world to come there will be billions of children converted to spiritual god-like beings. We will truly become what Jesus told us - we potentially are gods (see John 10:33-36, Psalm 82:6).
