The answer depends on the type of renewable energy considered.
Renewable energy sources such as Solar Energy and Wind Energy have been in the spotlight for some years now and the technology to harness them have been made available in the international market. The technology is still under development to improve the reliability and economic viability of the system.
Hydro power plants that derive energy from the flow of rivers have been in existence for over 100 years and the technology available is mature and practically proven.
Some forms of Renewable energy sources are relatively new such as Wave Energy and Tidal Energy and are starting to gain attention. Technology to derive usable and economical energy from such sources is under development and will be made available in the coming years.
And of course windmills have been used to provide power since the first Century (Heron of Alexandria, a Greek engineer). Watermills were in use by the Greeks and Romans by the 3rd Century.
The 'use' of renewable energy [sources] must be maximized. And How!
yes wind is a renewable source of energy and that is what turbines use
Because if we use renewable sources, it's with us forever. fossil fuels and non-renewable sources will run out someday.
Sources of energy are termed renewable and non-renewable. Electricity can come from many sources including power plants, wind farms, hydroelectric plants and solar panels. Power plants that burn fossil fuels are using non-renewable fuel sources, but energy from solar panels use renewable energy. A power plant can use biofuels, which are renewable.
The use of different energy sources including fuels and renewable sources to provide a nations electricity supply is referred to as clean energy or renewable energy. Examples are solar power, biofuels, geothermal, and hydro-power.
use renewable sources only limited
Use non-renewable ones. Search for others and sources. Use long lived non-renewable ones such as nuclear.
Renewable energy cannot, at present, replace fossil fuels or our use of them.
If humans continue to use nonrenewable sources of energy, they will eventually run out of them. This means that eventually renewable energy sources will be the only energy source.
because it is more efficiant than any other form of energy
Solar energy is harnessed because it is a renewable source of energy and we should make full use of it to lower the pressure on the traditional or non-renewable sources of energy.
Renewable energy sources use various non petroleum, non wood, non peat, non nuclear sources for fuel energy, typically to produce electricity. Petroleum, wood, peat, and nuclear energy are non renewable sources because they can be depleted faster than they can be replaced. The main way these energy sources are alike is they are all used to produce electricity.
