What is the maeaning of She started to learn English 5 years ago and English started to be learned 5 years ago Can anyone let me know the meaning of two sentence in malayalam?

The first sentence is in active voice, and the other in passive voice. The first means, "Aval 5 varsham munpu English padikkan thudangi" The second means, "5 varsham munpu English paditchu thudangi" Think well that English will not study itself. But, someone is to study it. In Malayalam, when you say, "English paditchu", it does not mean that it studied itself. But, somebody else studied it. You needn't translate it as 'padikkappettu'. It is an old way of speaking. When you say in Malayalam as, 'Vellam nanatchu', Manga vittu', they are actually as 'nanaykkappettu', vilkkappettu', etc., and are in passive voice. Because, vellam, and manga will not do the job themselves. But, you needn't say this suffix 'pettu'. It is an old written language style. When you say in active voice, you can say as" Njan vellam nanatchu". In Malayalam, you needn't try to find a form difference for both the sentence types. Instead, try to find who the subject, and who the object, and the way the sentence is constructed.

What is English passive?

The passive voice is used, most commonly, in objective writing. In contrast, a heavily biased newspaper will not use the passive voice...(Newspaper)ACTIVE VOICE: ' He hit the girl 5 times!'(Objective writing)PASSIVE VOICE:' The girl was hit 5 times by the boy'The object and subject of the sentence have exchanged places. In the first sentence the fact that the boy hit the girl stands out, whereas in the second we notice that she was hit, it is not so important by whom. The first sentence encourages us not to like the boy, whereas the second encourages us to think passively about the situation.1.Peter took his dog for a walk2.The dog was taken for a walk by Peter1. Subject (Peter) before object (dog) and action ( walk). The subject in this sentence is ACTIVE.2. Subject ( dog) is PASSIVE in this sentence and being acted on by the object ( Peter).

How do you rewrite passive voice sentences to make them active voice sentences?

In passive sentences the doer of the verb is not usually given. Or if it is given then it is - by + noun, this is called the agent egThe mouse was chased by the cat.The agent becomes the subject of an active sentence eg:The catchased the mouse. If the agent is not given in the passive sentence you have to find out who or what does the action to make passive into active. egThe Mona Lisa was painted in the 16th century. -- passive_________ painted the Mona Lisa in the 16th century. -- active.Or you could use a word like 'someone' egpassive - The cake was eaten (by someone)active - Someone ate the cake.
