Where can I buy a magazine for a western field M149 bolt action
it is a Mossberg
Mossberg
Mossberg made that shotgun for Montgomery Ward's Western Field fun line. It was the Model 185 in Mossberg shotgun line.
Mossberg, it is their M#85 ( I'm assuming that this is a bolt action shotgun).
A" designates single shot.
Yes, it's a bolt-action 410 gauge shotgun.
Mossberg, It's the same as a Mossberg 385K
A Western Field Mod 30 is a Savage Mod 520 Model 30 (based on Stevens/Savage 520) was a pump action shotgun and came in 12 and 16 gauge, but NOT 20 gauge or .410 gauge. Model 30 (based on Kessler model 30C) was a bolt action shotgun and also only came in 12 and 16 gauge. There is some confusion about model 30 Western Fields because there were two very different variations, both pump and bolt action types. If your Western Field shotgun only has "model 30" stamped on it, with no other alpha-numeric designation such as 25EKN or SB526, then it is likely a pump action 12 gauge.
Most used Western Field pump guns will bring $100-$250 depending on condition and model/style.
I suspect it is a Noble pump action model 60 or 66.
We discovered a Western Field 410 gauge shotgun with bolt action and saw that they were made in the late 40;s and early 50's.
