JOHN DEERe and Case are a couple major manufacturers of farm equipment includer small square baling machines that produce bales as small as 14" x 18". These balers are still expensive though, running around $20,000 and up. A company called Earth Tools even makes a small baler for walk-behind tractor-mowers for home and farm use.
A farm implement store can get you the information you need.
A baler is a piece of farm machinery used to compress a cut and raked crop (such as hay, straw, or silage) into compact bales that are easy to handle, transport and store. Several different types of balers are commonly used, each producing a different type of bales - rectangular or cylindrical, of various sizes, bound with twine, netting, or wire. Industrial balers are also used in material recycling facilities, primarily for baling metal, plastic, or paper for transport.
That is a type of farm machinery that does a combination of tasks, such as cutting and baling hay.
Unless used with care and safety in mind at all times, the main disadvantage of a hay baler (and many other farm equipment) is that you could become trapped, hurt or killed in the machinery. Never, ever, try to adjust the baler while the tractor/take off is running.
