He told me that there may be cases where young Germans of both sexes wish to ''buy off'' what their ancesrots did to Jews, so they purposefully seek to date and/or marry a person of Jewish origin. I haven't verified this rumour, and I think this is a rare occasion, and done because of feelings of guilt and/or ancestry burden.
