You might be interested in so called wireless extenders, they do exactly what you need. ---- I assume you are referring to increasing the range of a router? My problem is there is no way to get internet access in a nursing home, except through the use of of a wireless connection through AT&T, Sprint, so some other service, people use when away from any WiFi link. It's slow, but better than nothing. Would like to add a router so that others can access it, so that we can split the cost. At $40 a month, plus taxes, that takes nearly 100% of the monthly allowance the nursing home is required to give us out of our SS checks, regardless of how much those checks are. Most of us already owned a laptop at the time we came here. In my case, I was a cab driver until I got sick from CO2 poisoning over a year ago. The money we get has to cover any personal expenses, such as a telephone, shampoo, clothing, etc.
