If you enter the boolProp cheats, you can adjust a sim's motives by clicking on a sims' motive and dragging it up or down. If you hold shift and click on something, you can do some really cool stuff! (I.E: Make everyone in the neighbourhood love you.) BUT! don't click on "Force Error". If you do get an error, just click on reset. Easy! The boolProp cheat is brilliant.
BoolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true can allow a Sims user to do lots of different things. Try clicking Ctrl+Shift+C and then typing the cheat, before pressing shift and clicking on the letterbox. You can, for example, bring a specific type of Sim to your house or invite the whole neighbourhood. You can click on the active Sim, and 'age up', or get the 'Tombstone of L and D'. The best way to see what this cheat can do is to try it!
It's pretty much limitless. You just have to experiment with it. If you type it in in the neighborhood view, once you get to a lot, you can drag the relationships and needs up and down, so nothing is needed. It's really handy for when you need them to study or have friends for a promotion or something.
If you type it in in the neighborhood view, then go to family creator and hit shift+n then you can create your own aliens and Zombies and vampires, depending on which expansion packs you have. That also unlocks all the testing outfits and employee outfits that they were using too. Just mess around with it
Before exiting a lot, always type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled false"
If not, then when you return (This is a 3% chance, but still can happen) a random Sim might have died, or an error will occur and you will have to delete characters.
The boolprop cheat works for both Sims 2 and 3. In Sims 2, the cheat is typed 'boolprop testingcheatsenabled true', the same being typed in Sims 3 without the 'boolprop'.
This cheat can do many things. I will simply name some of the most useful things.
For Sims 2, after entering the cheat, the mood bars and skill bars can be slid whichever way you chose. Believe me, this changed my game play drastically for the better.
Also, experiment with 'shift clicking.' This is when one can press and hold the shift button, then click on an object or sim. Many new options will appear, sorry, I can't explain them because its been a while since I've played Sims 2.
One last thing, after entering the cheat in the neighborhood, in create-a-sim , pressing 'shift-m' will allow hairstyles and outfits from careers to appear. Pressing 'shift-n' will hide them.
The cheat must be entered after every time you close the game, like other cheats.
This is all I can tell you. Please, feel free to experiment on your own and find new tricks.
I sincerely hoped this helped!

ctrl + alt + shift + c then type in move_objects on you can delete stuff, including bills and move sims when the walk over the pool
No, it makes your game go slightly slower though, and if you use it too much you could get a box appear that says there's an error so just click delete.
No, boolprop is a cheat that can be used with just the base game. If you are having problems with boolprop, make sure you are typing it correctly. It is "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true", without the quotations.

TestingCheatsEnabled True DOES work on the sims 3, you just don't put boolprop in front of it:)
It's the same as it is for all the sims games. 1. Ctrl+Shift+C 2. Type in boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
Yes "Boolprop testingcheatsenabled true"
Yes, it does. Just leave off the boolprop part. Enter "testingCheatsenabled true" into the panel. It allows you to slide the mood bars, and adds context menu items when you click things.
