No, there is not a difference between Catholicism in the United States or Great Britain - except for the funny accent; as we are members of One, Holy, catholic, and Apostolic Church.
We use the same Missal, Church calendar, and rubrics.
And Catholicism is the "original" form of Christianity; as opposed to the myriad of "Flavors" offered today.
Jesus of Nazareth invented the very popular religion, Christianity. Jews believe in Judaism and Catholics believe in Catholicism. Judaism is the religion that Jews celebrate. It is different from Christianity and Catholicism because they think that Jesus wasn't the Messiah and that he or she will come any day now. Catholicism is different from Christianity and Judaism because they believe in and worship the Virgin Mary.
Because Roman Catholicism did not even exist at that time (988 AD) when Prince Vladimir of Kiev decided that Orthodox Christianity was the true religion for his people.
Muslim faith is popular in the Arabian countries and Arabian influenced countries because it has the same theory as Christianity/Catholicism but has a different ethnicity.
Catholicism is Christianity. Catholics and Protestants are just two different types of Christians. Technically, to be a Christian you just have to believe that God sent his only son Jesus to die for you to save you from certain death which you deserve for your sins. Because he died, you can accept his death as a gift by admitting that you've sinned and turning to a life that is pleasing to God. Catholics have a lot of ceremonies and rituals, such as Lent, that have developed after the time of Jesus in the reign of Emperor Constantine, but the basic framework is the same. Just so we're clear, CHRISTIANITY=Catholicism or Protestantism EITHER works if you have a sincere heart.
because they were found be different people with different ideals, or people within a religion had different ideals so split [like between judaism and christianity].
Jesus did not create Catholicism. The apostles, after Jesus died, started Christianity. Catholicism was kind of the same thing because the apostle, Peter, was the first pope... not really sure how that part worked out, actually.
Christianity isn’t Really a religion. Catholics are “christians”...they’re not in two religions because only one Is a religion
Christianity--particularly Catholicism--is the dominant religion throughout Central and South America. However, because there are multiple countries in Central America, I'm not sure if all/any have adopted Christianity as their "official religion."
protestant than catholic then protestant etc it was like this because of the different rulers and their religious beliefs
The difference is: Christianity is any one who is a follower and believer in Jesus. This includes Pentecostal, Anglican, Protestant, Catholic...Catholicism maintains direct roots (The Pope) with the apostles, with Peter as the first Pope. In the early 1500's after Martin Luther protested against the Catholic Church, King Henry (II or III) after wanting a divorce (which the Catholic Church said no to) made his own church, The Church of England so he could get a divorce.-and hence protestants follow some random guy with no direct link with Jesus -King HenryCatholicism believes to reach salvation/heaven both faith and good works are required. Although most other Christian denominations (e.g. Lutherans) believe that believing that God exists alone will allow you to get to heaven.Holy Communion and The Pope are exclusive to the Catholic church, although Eastern-Orthodox also believes in the Eucharist.Catholicism is 1500 years (except Orthodox which is almost identical to Catholicism) older than any other Christian denomination, with these denominations basing their beliefs on the bible alone which Catholicism does not do, including other basis's.IN THE END CATHOLICISM IS BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY BECAUSE BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY IS THAT WHICH EXISTS WITHIN THE BIBLE AND CATHOLICISM WAS THAT
There are many, many different leaders in Christianity, because there are many different organized churches and groups within the Christian religion.
because humans need something to believe in or else we will start going crazy. sometimes humans would not trust the facts that one religion had to offer and thus the beginning of a new religion was formed. like Christianity branched off from Catholicism certain people did not think Catholicism was right so they made a new one according to their minds and how they thought things should be.
