because humans need something to believe in or else we will start going crazy. sometimes humans would not trust the facts that one religion had to offer and thus the beginning of a new religion was formed. like Christianity branched off from Catholicism certain people did not think Catholicism was right so they made a new one according to their minds and how they thought things should be.

∙ 12y agoBecause there are so many different countries, who at one time thought they were the only people alive. So each country/race/group of people came up with their own religion. Over time most of these have been forgotten, and some of them, such as Christianity and Islam, have continued. The world is such a rich place, so hence the rich variety of belief systems.
