Yes. There is a fundamental difference between Christian A-Thor-ism and Atheist A-Thor-ism. While both disbelieve in Thor, their reasons for doing so are very different. The Christian disbelieves in Thor because he irrationally believes in a different god in place of Thor. His belief system is no different than a Thorist's belief system in that it is a system based on unsubstantiated faith and myths. The Atheist A-Thor-ist disbelieves in Thor because he does not accept the validity of the supernatural, due to the consistent failure to demonstrate its existence. It underlies that faith without evidence is undesirable. As a result, while the religious Atheism of other religion's gods is disbelief of the same targets as an Atheist's atheism of those same religion's gods, the underlying purpose for the rejection is different and it is from this difference that Christians' issues with understanding Atheism. The belief that only that which is proven to exist is worthy of belief or acceptance is naturalism.
