Per my local Hyundai Shop this model does not have a serviceable filter, therefore you only drain and fill this transsmission.
The total fill capacity for a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is 8.2 quarts (including the fluid inside the torque converter). However for just a drain/fluid change, it will probably require about half that amount. If you still have the owner's manual, that would be a good place to look. The fluid capacities should be listed. If not, try calling the parts or service department of your local Hyundai dealer.

5 qts in the trans plus 2.4 qts if you drain the torque convertor. do not fill all at once or will come out overflow. put 5 qts in, start engine and shift through gears while parked to fill torque convertor, then fill the rest. Torque convertor has a drain plug accessible through rubber plugs in bell housing. bump starter until it lines up. The stock fluid can be replaced with a premium synthetic fluid with better results than the overpriced sprinter atf.
Where is my drain ncock for my 2004 Hyundai Accent?
Mercon V (5). Be sure to drain the torque convertor or have a fluid exchange performed to avoid leaving more old than new in the transmission when finished.
Some torque converters have a drain plug, others do not. With no drain plug the torque converter can be stood on its end once removed to drain it.
No. The torque converter does not have a drain.
A 2000 Jeep does not have a torque converter drain plug.
does a 1991 thunderbird torque converter have a drain plug
