The total fill capacity for a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is 8.2 quarts (including the fluid inside the torque converter). However for just a drain/fluid change, it will probably require about half that amount. If you still have the owner's manual, that would be a good place to look. The fluid capacities should be listed. If not, try calling the parts or service department of your local Hyundai dealer.

To disassemble the manual transmission of a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon, first ensure the vehicle is safely elevated and supported. Remove the transmission fluid drain plug and drain the fluid, then disconnect the shift linkage, speed sensor, and any electrical connectors. Unbolt the transmission from the engine and carefully separate it, using a transmission jack for support. Finally, remove the bell housing and unbolt the internal components, taking care to note the order of disassembly for reassembly.
To change the manual transmission fluid on a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon, first, ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and secure it with jack stands. Remove the drain plug located at the bottom of the transmission and allow the old fluid to completely drain out. Next, replace the drain plug and fill the transmission with new fluid through the fill plug using a funnel, ensuring you use the recommended type and amount of fluid specified in the owner’s manual. Finally, replace the fill plug and check for any leaks before lowering the vehicle.
The drain cock on a Hyundai Tiburon is typically located on the engine block, usually towards the bottom of the radiator or near the water pump. It's a small valve or plug that allows for draining the coolant from the system. For precise location, it’s advisable to consult the owner’s manual or a service manual specific to your model year. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting to locate or operate the drain cock.
Some torque converters have a drain plug, others do not. With no drain plug the torque converter can be stood on its end once removed to drain it.
